What are line and road markings?
Line marking is the practical setout of a car park or site, bays, walkways, access lanes, hatching and disabled bays, applied in thermoplastic or durable paint. It keeps the areas around a school or building organised and safe, separating cars from people and making the most of the parking you have. We mark bays to sensible dimensions, add pedestrian walkways and crossing points, and lay the statutory yellow lines and disabled bays where they are needed, so drop-off, staff parking and deliveries all flow.

We measure the car park or yard, note the entrance, flow and any constraints, and work out the layout that gets the most usable, safe parking from the space.

Design
We set out the bays, walkways, disabled bays and lines on a plan, so you can approve the arrangement before anything is marked.

Install
We prep the surface and apply thermoplastic or paint to the setout, working to fit around access to the site and keep disruption low.

Aftercare
The markings take traffic once cured. We can refresh worn lines, remark after resurfacing or adjust the layout on a return visit.
What do line and road markings cost?
Car park and line-marking jobs are usually priced by the size of the area and the number of bays and lines, and a modest school car park often falls somewhere in the low thousands. Thermoplastic costs more than paint up front and lasts far longer under traffic. Because every site differs, we survey the area and give you a fixed quote rather than a rate over the phone.

Do you mark disabled parking bays to the correct size?
Yes. We mark accessible bays to the recommended dimensions with the wheelchair symbol and the access hatching alongside, so they are usable and clearly reserved. We confirm the number and position with you at survey and set them where they best serve your entrance.
Should a car park be thermoplastic or paint?
It depends on the traffic and the budget. Thermoplastic costs more at the outset but takes vehicle weight and turning far better, so it stays legible for years, while paint is cheaper up front and needs redoing sooner. We will give you both figures at survey so you can choose on the whole-life cost.
Can you remark our car park after resurfacing?
Yes. Resurfacing wipes the old layout, so we set the bays and lines out fresh once the new surface has cured. We can reproduce the previous layout or improve on it while the slate is clean, and we work out of hours to keep the car park usable.
